Breathtaking views: Since 2001, the view from the end of the gallery has been the highlight of a visit to the local mountain of Thun. Your eyes pass over the city and the region of Thun, Lake Thun, the Aare and Gürbe valley, the Mittelland and the mountains of the Jura chain.
Wide choice of trails for hikers: 70 kilometres of marked trails, including
Erlebnispfad (experience trail )or
Alpenblumen-Lehrpfad (alpine flower educational path).
Climbing routes: The Stockhorn area has been divided into 12 sector with a total of 120 climbing routes with difficulty levels from 2 to 7. You can find more information in the "Stockhorn Climbing Guide" (CHF 15.00) or on

Hang-gliding / Paragliding: The hang-glider starting ramp of the Deltaclub Stockhorn (six delta places) is located directly next to the mountain station. The start area for hang gliders is directly below it. The landing area is in Seewlen/Ringoldignen, about 1,500 metres from the valley station.
Fishing: Up to six trout can be caught in the Hinter- and Oberstockensee lakes (from the middle station at Chrindi) with a day-fishing permit. The season runs from the melting of the snow up to November.
The ultimate adrenaline kick: Jumping from a cable-car cabin. Headfirst from a height of 125 metres towards the Hinterstockensee lake. More information is available from

Relax, enjoy yourself, rest: The Panorama restaurant at the summit, with 180 indoor seats and 100 seats on the sun terrace, is an culinary insider tip: Stockhorn-Zmorge (breakfast) is served during the whole week, with a large brunch every Sunday.
