The  Elsigenalp: Those who want to really recover from everyday stress should travel to the Frutigen ski area – and then up to the Elsigen- Metsch ski centre (1,300 to 2,300 metres above sea level). The ski area has seven large and two small ski-lifts, and 7,000 persons can be transported per hour. In total, there are 28 kilometres of prepared piste for ski fans. Twelve kilometres have artificial snow-making – and the region offers absolutely everything, for both beginners and experts.

Those who want to recharge their batteries in order to get through the days of skiing or winter activities have found the right place with the Hari family in the Alten Elsighütte Lodge. The pleasant mountain inn with its marvellous sun terrace offers more than just sensational food. The guest will feel really at home with the Hari husband and wife team and will feel like a king. When the sun is shining, you will find it often takes a little longer to strap on your skis after a midday bowl of soup or a plate of flaked cheese – people are often reluctant to leave a comfortable house in winter.
