Parks

Take a walk, top up your energy, enjoy the view: The numerous parks invite visitors to take a break:

Schadau Park: A wonderful park with Schadau castle at its centrepiece. It’s possible to bathe in front of the castle in the summer. A circular path leads through the park, passing the  Thun-Panorama, a large playground, the  Dampfbahn Vaporama Schadaupark and the Arts gourmet restaurant with the Gastronomy Museum. To get there: 10-minute walk from Thun railway station.

Bonstetten Park: Can be reached by foot  along the lakeside path from the Thun Strandbad. A large park with a view of the Eiger, Moench and Jungfrau, as well as the Niesen and the Stockhorn mountain chain. Large playground and snack bar in the summer. Getting there by public transport:   STI bus No. 1 from Thun railway station to the 'Camping' or 'Gwatt Seewinkel' stop.

Oberhofen Castle Grounds: One of the most  magnificent gardens in the Alpine region. Historical landscape gardens with striking groups of trees, exotic topes, shady arcades and colourful banks of flowers. Travel there with the  ship or with the    STI bus No. 1 from Thun railway station to the 'Oberhofen Dorf' stop.
